Working at Ribblesdale
Teacher of Music
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic classroom practitioner who displays the character, enthusiasm and energy to help us to grow our music provision at Ribblesdale School. The Music and Performing Arts Department at Ribblesdale is at an exciting time in its development, as we seek to raise the profile of the arts and enhance the creative opportunities available to all our pupils. The department enjoys a wealth of superb facilities including two large performing spaces (one of which is a brand new, purpose-built multi-activity studio), two dedicated classrooms and two peripatetic practice rooms. Members of the department are unapologetically ambitious and avidly explore the latest
educational research to inform and refine their curriculum and pedagogy, using new ideas and strategies alongside effective and well-established teaching and learning methodology. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be expected to have experience of teaching both music and performing arts at Key Stage 3 and music at Key Stage 4. We want a teacher who shares
our ambitious approach to teaching and learning and who strives to achieve excellent results, maximising pupil progress. We have high aspirations for all our learners and aim to support our pupils in becoming independent, self-regulating learners who are confident, adept performers with a life-long love of learning.

Senior ICT Technician
We wish to appoint a committed, highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior IT Technician to work within the ICT Support Team, alongside the IT Network Manager and two additional technicians.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school which has, for many years, held an enviable position at the forefront of digital technologies. We are a Microsoft Showcase School and recently fulfilled the role of Department for Education EdTech Demonstrator School, mentoring over 200 schools in their use of technology to support teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be a well organised, proactive and enthusiastic person who is approachable and possesses a calm professional manner. The ability to communicate effectively with both pupils and staff is a pre-requisite of the role, as is initiative and the flexibility to work independently or as part of our dynamic team to respond to a wide range of queries and requests.
With support from the IT Network Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the ICT Support Team, addressing the issues which may arise. This will include maintaining the school’s one-to-one device scheme utilising the Microsoft 365 platform.
In return we offer a well-funded IT department with formal and informal professional development opportunities and a great working atmosphere where IT is considered a cornerstone of our pupils’ education.
