Moodle is an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that is designed to support and aid the teaching and learning at Ribblesdale. It provides an interactive learning experience that is personalised for each individual pupil at the school. It creates a learning platform that allows our pupils to access the curriculum at their own pace in order to support their own individual needs with the use of the internet. Every pupil at Ribblesdale has their own username and password, which allows them to access to the learning materials using their profiles.
Moodle is relatively new at Ribblesdale and is being developed with the needs of its pupils and school in mind; it has already had an encouraging impact on this year’s GCSE classes in supporting pupils to prepare for their exams. The decision has been made to make Moodle available to all years and over the next couple of years the benefits will be seen by the whole Ribblesdale community
