GRAB Final Winner!
Ribblesdale won!!!! James Holt is crowned the winner of the GRAB event 2011. The year 7 singer who is only 12 smashed his was to the top with a stunning performance and blew the audience away. The talented singer showed he is a class act to take the prestigious title. Not only did the we take first place, Shannon Bond took a deserved third place with 3 of a Kind coming in fourth. All of the acts were fantastic and the evening was a success due to the professionalism of the Grand team. And a big thank you must go to Issy Kenyon who co-presented the evening with Steve Lancaster and was brilliant. Well done to every act who entered, it was a great evening celebrating the talent we have in the Ribble Valley.
GRAB Final
GRAB The Event Grand Final takes place this Friday night 4th February at The Grand @ 7:30pm.
Tickets have sold out at all the schools but you can still watch the event live on your computer!
All the acts are fabulous and it will be a wonderful evening celebrating the outstanding talent we have in the Ribble Valley schools and don’t forget you will be able to see who the surprise X Factor guests are!
Ribblesdale have 3 acts in the final – 3 of a Kind (Gabi Parkinson, Anysia Bramante-Wareing, Alix Carey) Year 11, James Holt Year 7 and Shannon Bond Year 10. The evening will also be co-hosted by our very own Year 11 pupil Issey Kenyon a member of The Grand Schools Forum.

GRAB Semi final success for Ribblesdale Pupils!
The Grammar School, Ribblesdale, St Augustines & Bowland are going head to head in a talent contest to win a £750 grand prize in the Final of GRAB. There are 2 semi finals and 8 acts go through to the Final on Friday February 4th at The Grand in Clitheroe.
On Wednesday January 26th Dancers Gabby, Alix and Anysia, and Singers James, Heather & Shannon competed against pupils from St Augustines for a place in the final and wowed both the audience and the Judges with their amazing talent.
Following a nerve wracking wait it was announced that James Holt Yr7, Shannon Bond Yr10 & Gabby, Anysia and Alix all Year 11 were through to the final! As a school we are incredibly proud of their achievements and wish them all the very best of luck for the Final.

Hildesheim Trip
An excellent trip to Hildesheim in GERMANY was had by 9 pupils, Miss Mason and Mrs Turner. The pupils sung at Hildesheim and Itzum Christmas Markets, for the Nuns at St Vinsenz Chapel, in the Catherdral, at Marienschuler School Bazaar, at a Catholic Advent Service and for the flight passangers on FlyBe!!
Pupils will be performing a couple of their songs on BBC Radio Lancashire Friday 3rd Dec between 11&1, and they will also be singing at The Tithe Barn Christmas craft market, Browsholme Hall Sunday 5th Dec 10-4 so please feel free to come along.
Ribblesdale pupils to sing in Hildesheim
Nine pupils are jetting off to the Christmas Markets in Hildeshiem Germany on the 24th November to Sing alongside a 60 piece German Orchestra as part of the ongoing Comenius project Ribblesdale is involved in. It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved!!!

The pupils will be singing their Christmas songs at the Tithe Barn – Browsholme Hall Christmas farmers market, Sunday Dec 5th 10-4 so please come along!!
Summer Show 2009 ‘STARS’
This year’s Summer Show, ‘STARS’ turned out once again be a spectacular event not to be missed! Guests were entertained by over 70 pupils from years 7-10 singing and dancing the night away to a selection of music from all many different genres including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, street, classical and popular, to name but a few!
Thank you so much to all the staff and parents involved, and all guests that attended any of the 3 nights in July (14th, 15th and 16th). Most of all thank you and well done to the wonderful pupils who took part.
