Barcelona Sports Fest
May 30th 2011, 62 pupils and 8 staff set off for a sports tour to the Costa Brava, Spain. We played football and netball teams from the UK and Spain over the course of a fun packed 4 days.
The pupils trained with top coaches every day and each of the 3 football teams had 2 matches and the netball ended in a tournament with 6 UK schools. Ribblesdale won all the football matches they played and the girls became tournament winners of the netball. The passion, dedication and effort our pupils displayed was some of the highest I have witnessed from a school group. My team and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent with these talented youngsters and we would like to congratulate each one of them for their outstanding performance, effort and attitude which made this tour a great success.

I would also like to thank the parents and the school for giving these children the opportunity to travel abroad and compete at this level. The educational value of tours is amazing. Nothing comes close to the huge benefits pupils gain from the experience and the teachers likewise. May we continue to shine at an international level here at Ribblesdale for many years to come!
