Medieval Night

Os8000047n Wednesday 4th November Ribblesdale High Schools main meals was transformed into a medieval dining hall. Twenty-one y10 pupils from the GCSE Hospitality & Catering group spent the day preparing food ready to serve to the paying guests.

The History dept did a medieval re-enactment and the Art dept provided shields as part of the decorations. The stocks were made by the Technology dept.

There were canapés on arrival followed by homemade medieval broth with dragon tail bread, Hog roast with roasted root vegetables & a selection of fruit tarts to finish with.

The hog roast was cooked to perfection by local business man Alan Hacking, who had two of the pupils help him prepare the hog during the day. Our thanks go to him for being there on the evening to carve & serve the meat.

Many guest got into the spirit of the event and dressed accordingly, In true medieval spirit stocks were used for any guests breaking the rules!!

This was another very successful event provided by the Hospitality & Catering Dept.
