Year 7 Parents’ Welcome Evening – Thursday 1st October at 6.30pm

Dear Parents, I am delighted to invite you to this event. The aim of the evening is to meet your son or daughter’s coach, see a selection of learners’ work and to speak to key staff not only from the senior leadership team, but from the learning and student care teams about how your son or daughter has settled in to Ribblesdale.

It is important that you note that detailed reports and feedback will not be given at this evening. The focus is on each learner’s well-being in school, rather than academic progress. An opportunity to discuss progress more thoroughly will be available later on in the school year. If you – or we – feel it is necessary, you can of course make an appointment to come in to school after half-term.

Light refreshments, including a glass of wine or soft drinks, if you prefer, will be available. This event is informal and also serves as an opportunity to meet other parents with children in Year 7.
